FACES OF AMADOR Saturday, August 1st, 2009 At the Kennedy Mine Amphitheater “…Lucy…I’m Home”!!! Who can resist the fun and shenanigans of Lucy and Ricky, Fred and Ethel of the "I Love Lucy" show? Plan to join us for some 1950's fun on Saturday, August 1st at the Kennedy Mine Amphitheater in Jackson for the seventh annual Faces of Amador. The showfeatures local talent and sit-com fun reminiscent of the funniest episodes of the "I Love Lucy" show. Proceeds will benefit Operation Care’s domestic violence and sexual assault programs. For sponsorship information, click here or call Lynn at 209-223-2897. “The story unfolds as Ricky plans to open his new night club …the Club Babalu!” says Susan Ross, chairperson for the event and board member for Operation Care. “We have exciting new talent this year, including dancers, singers, and even a magician! And you will have to wait and see what shenanigans Lucy has come up with to get herself a part in the show!” An adorable Lucy is played by Beth Barnard with Rolf Hein as Ricky. Brad Barnard plays the part of Fred, and Suzie Evans will portray Ethel. “This is our seventh year for Faces of Amador, and it has become a summer event that people really look forward to attending,” said Bill Price, President of the Board of Operation Care. “Under the direction of Beth Barnard, and with a hilarious script adapted by Susan Ross, our talented cast and performers are sure to provide an entertaining evening for all. Most importantly, we are hoping to fill the amphitheater in order to raise funds to assist local victims of domestic violence.” Show tickets are $40 per person and include a delicious char- grilled steak sandwich and accompaniments cooked by the mess crew of the Sutter Creek Native Sons of the Golden West, and a glass of wine compliments of Bray Vineyards. PLUS....Operation Care’s board of directors will be raffling a wonderful CASH prize of $1000. Raffle tickets are on sale for $5 each or 5 for $20.
