Domestic Violence Support Group
This support group allows women who are or have been in an emotionally and/or physically abusive relationship with an intimate partner, and who want to work on the issues around domestic violence. The goal is to learn about the dynamics of abuse, to share feelings and experiences, and to support each other in making changes.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SUPPORT GROUPS:
Learn skills to help you cope with your past experiences while building helathy friendships and relationships. Groups allow a confidential setting to connect with other women who have experienced relationship abuse.

CHRYSALIS - Self Esteem and Violence Prevention Workshop for Girls
A 10-session violence prevention workshop for girls to help them understand different types of violence and the roots of violence. The program also includes a mock trial for date rape. Topics include self esteem, women's issues, dealing with anger, bullying, self destruction, drugs and alcohol, domestic violence, sexual harassment, and sexual assault.

MAKING THE PEACE- Violence Prevention Workshop for Teens and Young Adults
(Co-ed)
This 15-session course helps youth deal with the deeper, more sensitive issues around violence. Course includes a process of looking at the causes of violence among youth. It gives youth a non-threatening arena to express their fears, frustrations, and gives solutions about violence.

Group Counseling
Operation Care offers support groups that are open to anyone who is experiencing, or has been through, any type of sexual assault / abuse or domestic violence. Groups are held at the Operation Care Office in Jackson.
- "Beginning to Heal" is a sexual assault survivor's group for people who have not been involved in a previous support group.
- "The Woman Within" is a more advanced sexual assault survivor's group dealing with the deeper issues. You must go through "Beginning to Heal" before joining this group. This is a closed group, meaning you can only join at the start of the program.
We offer one-on-one counseling services as well.
And as always, the services offered at Operation Care are completely confidential and free of charge.
